When submitting documents in Ohio, you MUST include the COMPLETE legal description of the property. Note: The brief description found on your County Auditor's website is not sufficient - you need the full/complete legal description, which can be found on:
- Your property deed
- Your title insurance policy
- The County Recorder's office records
Example: "Being Lot Number Two Hundred Thirty-Nine (239) in RIVERSIDE HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION, as the same is numbered and delineated upon the recorded plat thereof, of record in Plat Book 7, Page 152, Recorder's Office, Franklin County, Ohio."
Need help? Contact your County Recorder's office or your title company for a copy of your property's full legal description.
